The left caster on Christina's wheelchair lost half of the bearings. Angela was able to shove parts inside and the wheel rolls. A trip to the hardware store allowed us a quick fix to get back rolling without worry of the other bearing collapsing.Posted by Administrator
Handi Medical came out and put a new bearing in. This will hold until the new wheels come in.

Happy World Cerebral Palsy Day
I hope persons are not afraid to ask questions about cerebral palsy. I do not mind answering questions at all. And, if I do not explain it well; let me know.
I have learned a lot about CP over the years. Thanks to therapists and doctors. I think some are taught in school too specific of a definition. Some in the field I have met did not seem to have a grasp. Or a 'favorite' line, my uncle/niece/nephew/cousin/aunt have CP. Or my husband was in a chair when he broke his leg. NOT the same.
Cerebral Palsy is not a sickness or a disease. You can not catch CP from anyone. It is not contagious.

Ah, the joys of playing in the rain.Posted by Administrator
Christina loves being outside and it does not matter the weather. She really enjoys going for a walk in the rain.
Rain gear upon us and away we go.

I have been falling behind on backup number 3. I have not found a good routine to keep up with it. Backup #3 I do once a month. Well, I am suppose to do once a month. Usually it is every two months and lately every four. Ugh.Posted by Administrator

The lamp I'm making from the plaster mold of Christina is almost done.Posted by Administrator
I put together the light portion through the mold. Drilling was interesting. All works well. Now the first two coats of paint are on. I am looking forward to it being done.
I chose to go purple. I painted a base coat of black where the cut out was for the mid portion. I'm hoping it is just slightly darker there.
