Christina's IEP
It is that time of year again. Wow, does time ever seem to fly by.
The school year has started and the IEP (Individualized Education Plan) meeting is due to be had. It is always nice to see the teachers, therapists, and staff again. That also means doing my homework, reading up on Christina's progress, and brain storming a game plan to present.
New ideas are hard to enforce. Although usually welcomed, putting into practice is not so easy.

So Much Paperwork
I am getting behind on my paperwork. It seems like so little when it comes in. School stuff, medical, therapy all add up. And, I try to read up on events and play a little in the tech field.
I have a Raspberry Pi I received several months ago that I have had very little time to work with. I spent several hours on it one day and had troubles installing software. OS loaded and updated; however, the Plex software I wanted to install could not be downloaded.
Then of course there is Christina's equipment. The new seat for the wagon needs to be designed and built. The new wagon needs lights put on and wired. The battery compartment needs to be designed for the wagon and built. Planning out the wiring to be rain and snow proof.
And, Christina received a Hoveround from a neighbor. So a seat modification is needed for her to be able to use it. We have done a few laps around the yard with Christina sitting on my lap. She gets a huge giggle as we roll around.
Still plan on getting lights on Christina's wheelchair. My precious Princess Christina deserves to have the coolest chair around.

I think a rotisserie attachment for the grill is in order.Posted by Administrator
I started browsing the instruction manual and recipe book for the grill. Read the brief portion on rotisserie with attachment part number and of course started thinking about it.
And, now I'm hungry.

Weather Radio Features that I look at.
Decide base model or hand held
Type of antenna for area used
Standby alert
uses S.M.A.R.T. system
Option to select which county warnings
Visual warning option
Battery backup
Radio Reception
I have poor radio reception at home. Every weather radio I have tried do not pick up well. Some do not pick up at all.
In the end, I am going to get both a handheld and a base weather radio. The base will have the optional visual alert and the option to select which county warnings to receive. And it will have an excellent antenna and battery backup. The handheld will be durable and able to take some abuse. Simple options and the ability to receive in the house.

Of course, we'll have Monday playtime a couple weeks after that for Labor Day.
