Seeing FriendsPosted by Administrator
I have mixed feelings when we go to Gillette Children's St Paul campus.
If we are there, it isn't for an enjoyable reason. We do have the chance to see many familiar faces. Christina and I have made many acquaintances at Gillette's with our visits. Seeing staff at Gillette's always makes us smile.
The other day, as I pondered our latest stay at Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare, this odd thought came to mind. Gillette is an ideal setup for a really cool home. Therapy equipment, lots of room, climate controlled, and the Ronald McDonald Family Room for a kitchen. The beds suck but who sleeps in the hospital.

Christina's osteotomy surgery went well. Christina also healed quickly. We were discharged in just over two days.
Of course we did lots of walking. Well, I walked, Christina rode in an oversized wheelchair. I also made a modified seat in a large wagon and brought that with. We got lots of comments about how much we walk together.

Christina's surgery stay will be the usual 5 to 7 days. Get a hold of me if interested in coming to visit.
Where oh where to begin.
Christina is scheduled to have hip surgery on June 28. There was a rush put on scheduling the hip surgery so that she can have back surgery sooner than later.
I am not sure what to think. This news really hit hard. I feel like I got hit in the gut with a two by four. After the last doctor appointment covering the hip and back we talked about scheduling the hip surgery late summer. This alone did not sit well with me. The thought of it made me uncomfortable.
Now I am very distraught trying to get a grasp on everyting. I started on the temporary wagon seat for Christina and her being casted. Soon to be done and ready for the princess.

Well. The gazebo roof did not make it through the wind we had last weekend.Posted by Administrator
The gazebo was well loved. The material had begun to show its age and was quite dried out. Although, I didn't think the roof would fly off, I am not surprised.
Christina is a huge fan of sitting on the deck under the gazebo.
