Tis the season for fall cooking.

I am looking forward to fall cooking. Going to find me a good chili recipe. And, time to experiment with various stews.

Getting in the mood for bean soup. Ham bone in the freezer just waiting to be stock.

I have been thinking about friends that have passed more than usual lately. I always have a thought of a friend now and then depending on where I am. Or maybe see something that triggers a memory.

So lets have a toast to friends gone. Salut.

I can not help to think that we must appreciate each day one day at a time. The experience as we know it could end now or later.

I like to say do not live in the past. We all have to remember the past and never forget.

Really enjoying the cooler weather. It is much nicer to work outside.

I don't mind the rain that has been coming also. It does make it a little more difficult to get the yard work done though.

The left caster on Christina's wheelchair lost half of the bearings. Angela was able to shove parts inside and the wheel rolls. A trip to the hardware store allowed us a quick fix to get back rolling without worry of the other bearing collapsing.

Handi Medical came out and put a new bearing in. This will hold until the new wheels come in.

Happy World Cerebral Palsy Day

I hope persons are not afraid to ask questions about cerebral palsy. I do not mind answering questions at all. And, if I do not explain it well; let me know.

I have learned a lot about CP over the years. Thanks to therapists and doctors. I think some are taught in school too specific of a definition. Some in the field I have met did not seem to have a grasp. Or a 'favorite' line, my uncle/niece/nephew/cousin/aunt have CP. Or my husband was in a chair when he broke his leg. NOT the same.

Cerebral Palsy is not a sickness or a disease. You can not catch CP from anyone. It is not contagious.
