Sorry for the lack of updates recently. First of all Happy Thanksgiving to everybody.
Christina was ill and missed a week of school but is better now. No it was not the swine flu. She did however miss school. She was very exited to return this week. While at school she has been doing great. The tears have stopped and she enjoys her time there. Christina uses her kid cart with no problems. She knows that when she goes to the gym she has to work and she will fuss but gets over it quickly. Mary told me that she is driving a motorized car and loves it. She eats a great snack while there most of the time.
At home she is doing well too. We got a wingbo swing and it is great. It is really hard to explain so if you go to wingbo.com you can see the swing. Anyway it is designed to promote belly time and head extension. She does real well in it. She will pull with her arms and push with her legs. It is so great to watch. The other day she was in it and grabbed shapes out of her cookie jar to hand to me. Lately Christina has been grabbing everything, very happy about that. We have also been working on walking in the gait trainer with no prompts. It is hard for her but is getting the hang of it. When we started it was all tears and now there are none.
The eye appointment went pretty well. No new news. Still can not and will not be able to tell us anything until she can tell us what she can see. I am positive that her vision is getting better and will continue to improve with time.
Phenol botox will be coming up soon again, there is no date yet but will be in December or January. I will keep everyone up to date.

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!!!
Today was a typical Wednesday. The day at work was pretty average with fewer calls than normal.
Angela had a doctor appointment today. Not much new, they still can not do anything to fix or help her leg. Time, time, time. Waiting and hoping sucks and I can just begin to imagine what she is going through. The pain is unbearable for her.
Christina had a good day. She started to get a little bored with mommy I guess. Christina and I walked a lot tonight before and after dinner. Christina really enjoyed it and took wonderful steps. She also ate well for dinner.
Angela went to the coffee shop to do homework and download more pictures onto the flash drive for me. She also met her mom and Harp for a Thanksgiving drink.

Today went by fast also. I went to the gym after work. That was an experience. I am trying to figure out how long it has been since I went last, and guessing it has been five years at least. I feel good after going. It took awhile to not feel guilty being there. I usually spend my evenings with Christina. In some way it feels like I was selfish and took away daddy time from her.
After the gym it was store time. Ooohh, my favorite. Picked up pediasure and some groceries. It felt like an hour standing in line. And why are stores always so warm. I should have left my jacket in the car.
Now it is time to raid the fridge and find something to eat.
Today went by quickly. I thought about this blog updating thing and figured that the end of the day is probably the best if I try the once a day. So here we go...
I transferred the latest pictures from Angela. I managed to get them sorted and have them queued for upload. For those of you who check the latest pics, most of them should be up by early morning. As I started going through the pics to upload I remembered I better sync the iPod tonight so I don't have to wait in the morning. There is nothing worse than being short on time, plug in the iPod and realize it is going to sync 400+ pictures.
Angela went to the coffee shop to do some homework tonight. Christina and I ate dinner and played. Christina ate very well. We still have issues with the highchair. We being Christina and I, Angela and Christina do not have any troubles at all. All attitude with the little princess.
We of course went for our nightly walk. We only go for about ten minutes, but Christina loves it and it is good for me too. I am planning to continue when the temperature drops. Christina and I both don't mind the cold.
In an effort to update the blog often, I am going to try to post something everyday. Since this is going to require more effort I have put into it in the past I am starting in the morning and there may be more than one post in a day.
Let's see. The weekend is done and I do not remember where most of it went. Angela's leg is still swollen and causing a lot of pain. Christina is trying to give her support to mommy and often hits Angela's leg in trying.
Christina is still very much a Daddy's girl lately. Christina has her moments of, it is now mommy time, and nothing else will do. Especially at bedtime.

Just as I wake up and look at the clock; I think to myself, I will get up, make coffee, get Christina's meds made, and then I can sit with a cup of coffee peacefully listening to the quiet.NOT!!!
Christina has a sense for when someone is trying to relax. It is her duty as a child to stop that from happening. I managed to get the coffee started and the meds are done. Figured I would post before going in to get the lil' princess.

Quote from “the Smoking Man”
(a.k.a. Cancer Man, Cigarette Man, Cigarette Smoking Man)
“Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless, perfunctory gift that no one ever asks for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So, you’re stuck with mostly undefinable whipped mint crap, mindlessly wolfed down when there’s nothing else to eat while you’re watching the game. Sure, once in a while you get a peanut butter cup or an English toffee but it’s gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. In the end, you’re left with nothing but broken bits filled with hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts, which if you are desperate enough to eat leaves nothing but an empty box of useless brown paper wrappers.” As said by Smoking Man on the X-Files.
